MediaTek Dimensity 800U:

Over the last few years, MediaTek is leading in the mobiles chip market, but in 2020 the company has gone so far with record-breaking new chipsets. We’ve seen some amazing chipsets like MediaTek Dimensity 1100, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 which tops the AnTuTu 9 benchmarks, MediaTek Dimensity 1200 which was launched in XIAOMI 11T, and many more smartphones. Now we have the full specs and full complete details of the MediaTek Dimensity 800U, let’s start off with the benchmarks.

MediaTek Dimensity 800U shows the best AnTuTu 9 scores. We can see the big jump in the CPU performance. The total performance of the CPU is 112305, which is slower than the Snapdragon 750G. The GPU also shows one of the best scores. It is 104433 which is a bit slower than the Snapdragon 750G. The memory scores also show a significant boost. Dimensity 800U memory is faster than Snapdragon 765G, Snapdragon 768G. The Ux is also showing one of the best performances. It is 108169, which is faster than Snapdragon 765G, and Snapdragon 768G. MediaTek Dimensity 800U total scores are above 390712. It will depend on which smartphones manufacturers using this chipset with which type of ram. MediaTek Dimensity 800U is considerably gaining a performance boost and beating some of the latest processors in the Mid-rand category.

MediaTek Dimensity 800U lunched with the Big 2 cores of Cortex-A76 which are ultra-high performance cores that are clocked on 2.4 GHz. The other 6 cores are based on Cortex-A55 which is a power efficiency core. There is a little disappointment that why they haven’t used the Cortex X1 or X2. But the Cortex-A76 also has the best speeds and good set instruction architecture. There are a total of 8 cores with a boost clock of 2.4 GHz. MediaTek Dimensity 800U has the latest set instruction architecture. It’s not fast but it is strong enough to beat some of the latest and most powerful Chipsets. Dimensity 800U is fabricated on 7Nm. This means MediaTek Dimensity 800U will be power efficient and will consume less battery and will produce less heat. The TDP shows 10wats which uses more power. This means it will consume more battery and will produce heat.

MediaTek Dimensity 800U has a new architecture-based GPU. Valhall is the new architecture that they are using in the MediaTek Dimensity 800U. The GPU is also manufactured using the 7Nm technology. Which means it will also be power efficient. The name of the GPU is Mali-G57 MC3. This is the fastest GPU in this lineup. The MediaTek Dimensity 800U is fast enough to handle games like FREE FIRE and PUBG MOBILE. The GPU score is faster than the Dimensity 800U which means there will be a smooth gaming experience on this chipset. The GPU is clocked on 850MHz. The shading units are also 48 which will help in rendering the graphics in gaming. There is also DirectX support of 12 which means this processor will support the latest games without any bugs and delays.

MediaTek Dimensity 800U uses the new LPDDR4x ram with the memory frequency of 2133MHz and uses the bus of 2×16. The ram may be changed according to the smartphone manufacturers, like XIAOMI, REALME, VIVO, etc. The memory frequency is also going to be changed according to the smartphones manufacturers. The max memory bandwidth is 17.07Gbit/s which is also faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which was used in Oneplus Nord. The max ram support on this processor is 12GB.

MediaTek Dimensity 800U uses its own neural engine which is fast with the AI calculations, it can be used to accelerate video analysis, voice recognition, and image processing. MediaTek Dimensity 800U uses the UFS 2.2 which is fast. This gives you fast read and writing speeds.

MediaTek Dimensity 800U has the maximum display support of FullHD+ and can support the 120Hz refresh rate with the super Amoled. MediaTek Dimensity 800U is going to be very aggressive when it comes to a camera support. It supports a camera up to 64MP. The video capture is kept on 4k at 30FPS and the video playback is also 4k at 30FPS. There is no 4k 60FPS support on this MediaTek Dimensity 800U. It is a bit odd to see no 4k 60FPS support on a 2021 mid-range Chipset.

MediaTek Dimensity 800U has 5G support. The MediaTek Dimensity 800U also comes with wi-fi 6 and the Bluetooth version of 5.1. This will give you better signals and better speeds. MediaTek Dimensity 800U uses its own 5G modem. It is not fast as the X65 but it gives you good speeds

The gaming experience on this chipset is going to be a little faster than the MediaTek Dimensity 720. This chipset is combined with the 2 Big A76 cores which boost the performance. With 2 big Cortex A-76 cores, there are also going to be a few issues with heating. The frequency of this chipset is 2.4 GHz, which is good for long-term gaming. This chipset also supports the LPDDR4x ram. This means there will be no issues with using this chipset in a long-term gaming session. This chipset also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. This will help in smooth performance with low latency. This chipset is can support PUBG MOBILE at 40FPS, this is because of the scores of the GPU.
