MediaTek Helio P95:
Over the last few years, MediaTek is leading in the mobile chip market, but in 2020 the company has gone far with the record-breaking new chipsets. We’ve seen some amazing chipsets like MediaTek Dimensity 1100, MediaTek Helio P950 which tops the AnTuTu 9 benchmarks, and MediaTek Dimensity 1200 which was launched in XIAOMI 11T and many more smartphones. Now we have the full specs and full-complete details of the MediaTek Helio P95.
AnTuTu 9:
CPU | 89930 |
GPU | 74790 |
Memory | 50957 |
UX | 61405 |
Total score | 275262 |
MediaTek Helio P95 shows the best AnTuTu 9 scores. We can see the big jump in the CPU and GPU performance. The total performance of the GPU is 74790, which is slower than the Snapdragon 732G. The CPU also shows one of the best scores. It is 89930 which is a bit slower than the Snapdragon 732G. The memory scores also show a significant boost. Helio P95 memory is faster than Snapdragon 712, and Snapdragon 665. The Ux is also showing one of the best performances. It is 61405, which is faster than Snapdragon 712, and Snapdragon 665. MediaTek Helio P95 total scores are above 275262. It will depend on which smartphone manufacturers using this chipset with which type of ram. MediaTek Helio P95 is considerably gaining performance boost and beating every processor in the Mid-rand category
Geekbench 5:
Single-Core Score | 411 |
Multi-Core Score | 1500 |
The single-core scores show the best performance in this smartphone mid-range category lineup. The single-core scores are 411. And the multi-core scores are 1500 which is also good at this point.
CPU:
Architecture | 2x 2.2 GHz – Cortex A75 6x 2 GHz – Cortex A55 |
Cores | 8 |
Frequency | 2200 MHz |
Instruction set | ARMv8.2-A |
Process | 12 nanometers |
TDP | 5 W |
MediaTek Helio P95 launched with the Big 2 cores of Cortex-A75 which are ultra-high performance cores that are clocked on 2.2 GHz. The other 2 cores are based on Cortex-A55 and are clocked on 2GHz which is a power efficiency core. There is a little disappointment that why they haven’t used the Cortex A76 or A77. But the Cortex-A75 also has the best speeds and good set instruction architecture. There are a total of 8 cores with a boost clock of 2.2 GHz. MediaTek Helio P95 has the latest set instruction architecture. It is not considered fast but it is strong enough to beat some of the latest and most powerful Chipsets. Helio P95 is fabricated on 12Nm. This means MediaTek Helio P95 will not be power efficient and will consume more battery and will produce more heat. The TDP shows 5watts of power consumption which is good.
Graphics:
GPU name | PowerVR GM9446 |
Architecture | PowerVR Rogue |
GPU frequency | 970 MHz |
Execution units | 3 |
Shading units | 12 |
FLOPS | 124 Gigaflops |
Vulkan version | 1.1 |
OpenCL version | 1.2 |
DirectX version | 12 |
MediaTek Helio P95 has a new architecture-based GPU. PowerVR Rogue is the new architecture that they are using in the MediaTek Helio P95. The GPU is also manufactured using the 6Nm technology. Which means it will also be power efficient. The name of the GPU is PowerVR GM9446. This is the fastest GPU in this lineup. The Helio P95 is fast enough to handle games like FREE FIRE, and PUBG MOBILE. The GPU score is faster than the MediaTek Helio P95 which means there will be a smooth gaming experience on this chipset. The GPU is clocked on 970MHz. The shading units are also 12 which will help in rendering the graphics in gaming. There is also DirectX support of 12 which means this processor will support the latest games without any bugs and delays. There are only 12 shading units which are very low compared to the other chipsets. But the GPU frequency is 970MHz, which is faster than others.
Memory:
Memory type | LPDDR4X |
Memory frequency | 1866 MHz |
Bus | 2x 16 Bit |
Max bandwidth | 13.91 Gbit/s |
Max size | 8 GB |
MediaTek Helio P95 uses the new LPDDR4x ram with the memory frequency of 1866MHz and uses the bus of 2×16. The ram may be changed according to the smartphone manufacturers, like XIAOMI, REALME, VIVO, etc. The memory frequency is also going to be changed according to the smartphone manufacturers. The max memory bandwidth is 13.91Gbit/s which is faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 which was used in Realme 5i. The max memory size is 8GB which is also good to see that this chipset can be equipped with the 8GB ram and with high storage.
Support:
Neural processor (NPU) | APU 2.0 |
Storage type | eMMC 5.1, UFS 2.1 |
Max display resolution | 2520 x 1080 |
Max camera resolution | 1x 64MP, 2x 24MP |
Video capture | 4K at 30FPS |
Video playback | 4K at 60FPS |
MediaTek Helio P95 uses APU 2.0 which is fast with the AI calculations. MediaTek Helio P95 uses the UFS 2.1 which is fast. This gives you fast read and writing speeds.
MediaTek Helio P95 has the maximum display support of FullHD+ and can support the 120Hz refresh rate with the super Amoled. The video capture is kept on 4k at 30FPS and the video playback is also 4k at 60FPS. There is no 8k support on this MediaTek Helio P95. It is a bit odd to see no 8k support on a 2021 mid-range Chipset.
Connectivity:
5G support | No |
Wi-Fi | 5 |
Bluetooth | 5.0 |
MediaTek Helio P95 has no 5G support. The MediaTek Helio P95 also comes with the wi-fi 5 and the Bluetooth version of 5.0. This will give you better signals and better speeds. MediaTek Helio P95 uses its own modem. It is not fast as the X65 but it gives you good speeds.
Smartphones:
Phones with Helio P95 | AnTuTu v9 |
1. Oppo Reno 5 Lite | 276742 |
2. Oppo Reno 4 Lite | 255620 |
3. Oppo F17 Pro | 242171 |
4. Oppo F19 Pro | 229341 |
5. Oppo A93 | 225409 |
MediaTek Helio P95 is launched in these 5 smartphones. As you can see these 5 smartphone scores are different. Oppo Reno 5 Lite is at the top. Which is a considerably great phone with this chipset. The recent oppo reno 5 lite has one of the best displays and shows one of the best performances.
Gaming Experience:
The gaming experience on this chipset is going to be a little faster than the MediaTek helio G80. This chipset is combined with the 2 Big A75 cores, which boosts the performance. With 2 big Cortex A-75 cores, there are also going to be a few issues with heating. The frequency of this chipset is 2.2 GHz, which is good for long-term gaming. This chipset also supports the LPDDR4x ram. This means there will be no issues with using this chipset in a long-term gaming session. This chipset also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. This will help in smooth performance with low latency. This chipset is can support PUBG MOBILE at 40FPS, this is because of the scores of the GPU.
