The total performance of the GPU is 155153, which is slower than the Snapdragon 778G Plus. The CPU also shows one of the best scores. It is 162847 which is a bit slower than the Snapdragon 788G Plus. The memory scores also shows a significant boost. Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G memory is faster than Snapdragon 765G, Snapdragon 768G. The Ux is also showing one of the best performances. It is 130287, which is faster than Snapdragon 765G, Snapdragon 768G. Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G total scores are above 527180. It will depend on which smartphones manufacturers use this chipset with which type of ram. Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G is considerably gaining performance boost and beating every processor in the Mid-rand category

Geekbench 5:

Single-Core Score 769

Multi-Core Score

2797

The single-core scores show the best performance in this smartphone mid-range category lineup. The single cores scores are 769. And the multi-core scores are 2797 which is also good at this point. The multi scores are good with the new architecture and with the ARM version.

CPU:

Architecture 1x 2.4 GHz – Kryo 670 Prime (Cortex-A78)
3x 2.2 GHz – Kryo 670 Gold (Cortex-A78)
4x 1.9 GHz – Kryo 670 Silver (Cortex-A55)
Cores 8
Frequency 2400 MHz
Instruction set ARMv8.4-A
L2 cache 2 MB
Process 6 nanometers
TDP 5 W

Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G launched with the Big 1 core of Cortex-A78 which is an ultra-high performance core it is clocked on 2.4 GHz the other 3 cores of Cortex A78 are clocked on 2.2GHz. The other 4 cores is based on Cortex-A55 and are clocked on 1.9GHz, which are power efficiency cores. There is a little disappointment that why they haven’t used the Cortex X1 or X2. If they would’ve used the new architecture then it would’ve been more powerful. But the Cortex-A78 also has the best speeds and good set instruction architecture. There are a total of 8 cores with a boost clock of 2.4 GHz. Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G has the latest set instruction architecture. It is not considered fast but it is strong enough to beat some of the latest and power-full Chipsets. Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G is fabricated on 5Nm. This means Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G will be power efficient and will consume less battery and will produce less heat. This chipset will have better background optimization thanks to the big L2 cache memory of 2MB. The TDP shows 5watts of power consumption which is good and will consume less battery.

Graphics:

GPU name Adreno 642L
Architecture Adreno 600
GPU frequency 490 MHz
Execution units 2
Shading units 384
Vulkan version 1.1

DirectX version 12

Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G has new architecture-based GPU. Adreno 600 is the new architecture that they are using in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. The GPU is also manufactured using the 5Nm technology. Which means it will also be power efficient. The name of the GPU is Adreno 642L. This is the fastest GPU in this lineup. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G is fast enough to handle games like FREE FIRE, PUBG MOBILE. The GPU score is faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G this means there will be a smooth gaming experience on this chipset. The GPU is clocked on 490MHz. The shading units are also 384 which will help in rendering the graphics in gaming. There is also DirectX support of 12 which means this processor will support the latest games without any bugs and delays.

Memory:

Memory type LPDDR5
Memory frequency 3200 MHz
Bus 2x 16 Bit
Max bandwidth 25.6 Gbit/s
Max size 16 GB

Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G uses the new LPDDR5 ram with the memory frequency of 3200MHz and uses the bus of 2×16. The ram may be changed according to the smartphone manufactures, like XIAOMI, REALME, VIVO, etc. The memory frequency is also going to be changed according to the smartphone manufacturers. The max memory bandwidth is 25.6Gbit/s which is also faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which was used in Oneplus Nord. The max ram support on this chipset is 16GB which is good with the new high speeds of UFS 3.1 storage it’s a great combination.

Support:
