Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus:

Over the last few years, Qualcomm Snapdragon is leading in the mobiles chip market, but in 2022 the company has gone so far with the record-breaking new chipsets. We have seen some amazing chipsets like Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that tops the antutu 9 benchmarks, Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 that was launched in Redmi note 11 pro 5G, and many more smartphones. Now we have the full specs and full complete details of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus, let’s start off with the benchmarks.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus shows the best Antutu 9 scores. We can see the big jump in GPU performance. The total performance of the GPU is 323190, which is slower than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The CPU also shows one of the best scores. It is 218327 which is a bit slower than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The memory scores also show a significant boost. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus memory is faster than Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 865G. The Ux is also showing one of the best performances. It is 170014, which is faster than Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 865G. Total scores are above 838596. It will depend on which smartphones manufacturers use this chipset with which type of ram. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus is considerably gaining a performance boost and beating every processor in the flagship category.

Snapdragon 888 Plus launched with the Big 4 cores of Cortex-X1 which is ultra-high performance cores that are clocked on 2.95 GHz. The other 4 cores are based on Cortex-A55 which is power efficiency cores. There is a little disappointment that why they haven’t used the Cortex X2. But the Cortex-X1 also has the best speeds and good set instruction architecture. There are a total of 8 cores with a boost clock of 2.95 GHz. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus have the latest set instruction architecture. It is not considered fast but it is strong enough to beat some of the latest and most powerful Chipsets. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus is fabricated on 5Nm. This means Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus will be power efficient and will consume less battery and will produce less heat.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus has a new architecture-based GPU. Adreno 600 is the new architecture that they are using in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus. The GPU is also manufactured using the 5Nm technology. Which means it will also be power efficient. The name of the GPU is Adreno 660. This is the fastest GPU in this lineup. The Snapdragon 888 Plus is fast enough to handle games like FREE FIRE, PUBG MOBILE. The GPU score is faster than the  Snapdragon 888 Plus this means there will be a smooth gaming experience on this chipset. The GPU is clocked on 840MHz. The shading units are also 512 which will help in rendering the graphics in gaming. There is also DirectX support of 12 which means this processor will support the latest games without any bugs and delays.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus uses the new LPDDR5 ram with the memory frequency of 3200MHz and uses the bus of 4×16. The ram may be changed according to the smartphones. The memory frequency is also going to be changed according to smartphones. The max memory bandwidth is 51.2Gbit/s which is also faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which was used in Samsung Galaxy S10.

Snapdragon 888 Plus uses the hexagon 780 which is fast with the AI calculations. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus uses the UFS 3.0 and UFS 3.1 which is fast. This gives you fast read and write speeds.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus have the maximum display support of QuadHD+ and can support the 120Hz refresh rate with the super Amoled. Snapdragon 888 Plus is going to be very aggressive when it comes to camera support. It support camera up-to 200MP. The video capture is kept on 8k at 30FPS and the video playback is also 8k at 30FPS. There is also 8k support on this  Snapdragon 888 Plus. Which is great to see there is 8k support on a 2021 flagship processor.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus have 5G support. The Snapdragon 888 Plus is also comes with the wi-fi 6 and the Bluetooth version of 5.1. This will give you better signals and better speeds. Snapdragon 888 Plus uses the X60 5G modem. Which is not fast as the X65 but it gives you good speeds.

Gaming Experience:

Gaming experience on this chipset is going to be a little faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. This chipset is combine with the 4 Big X1 cores which boost the performance. With 4 big Cortex X1 cores there is also going to be a little issues of heating. The frequency of this chipset is 2.95GHz, which is good for long term gaming. This chipset also support the LPDDR5 ram. This means there will be no issues of using this chipset on a long term gaming session. This chipset also support 120Hz refresh rate. This will help in smooth performance with low latency. This chipset is can support PUBG MOBILE at 90FPS, this is because of the scores of the GPU.
