The based one is 128GB and the high variant has 256GB of storage. This is a Flagship phone so there is also SD card support on this Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming. The single-core performance is good. This means the application opening will be faster and quicker. The multi-core scores are also good. This can hold applications in the background for a long time. The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming comes with a 4700Mah battery. Which is just enough for daily usage. The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming has a full day battery, on a single charge, it can live long up to a day.

1080p video recording Up to 60FPS
Slow motion 960 FPS (720p)
Angle of widest lens 120°
Lenses 3 (64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP)

Now let’s talk about the Camera. Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming comes with a Quad Camera setup. The main camera is 64 megapixel F/1.7. There is no telephoto lens but there is an ultra-wide lens of 8 megapixels. The main camera is 64MP which means the photos will contain more details. This sensor can record 4K at 60 FPS. There is no 8K support. The videos will contain more details and will be sharper thanks to its chipset. There is optical image stabilization on the main lens. The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming. Also supported the slow-motion 720p at 960FPS. This is the same sensor that was used in many flagship smartphones. This sensor is sharp and big. That collects more light at night thus taking good shots at night time. This sensor was also used in the Poco X2. The angel view of the ultra-wide is 123 degrees. Which is wide enough to take good shots. Now let’s talk about the lenses in detail.

Lenses:

Wide (main) lens – 64 MP
– Aperture: f/1.7
– Focal length: 26 mm
– Pixel size: 0.8 micron
– Sensor: 1/1.73″, Sony IMX686 (Exmor-RS CMOS)
– Phase autofocus
Ultra-wide lens – 8 MP
– Aperture: f/2.2
– Pixel size: 1.12 micron
– Sensor: 1/4.0″ (CMOS)
Macro lens – 2 MP
– Aperture: f/2.4
Camera features – Bokeh mode
– Pro mode

The main sensor is 64MP. Which is Sony IMX 686. Sony IMX 686 sensor can be seen in a lot of smartphones in the Flagship category like Realme X7 Pro, Poco X2, etc. The main camera saves 12-megapixel images by default. The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G also has a depth sensor like the flagships model does, portraits are excellent with detailed and sharp subjects and good separation. This sensor is brighter and big. Thanks to the aperture f/1.8. This sensor can take stronger portrait shots and can take great shots in the nighttime because it’s combined with a wider aperture. This sensor is very good at maintaining a good dynamic range at harsh conditions. This sensor is also good at taking very amazing portraits with strong bokeh and good depth of field. The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G doesn’t turn night and day but can take best night shots. It is a 64MP sensor so, combining that with great software can result in the best in smartphone photography. The autofocus in this camera sensor is incredibly fast. The sensor is a dual pixel. Overall the sensor is big, bright, and powerful.

There is also an ultra-wide lens of 8Mp. Which is Sony IMX 355. This sensor can be also seen in many devices like Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Poco X3, Poco F3, etc. This is also a great sensor considering its capabilities. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide photos are ok for this price range. But nothing great you get enough contrast and wide dynamic range but they come out soft with a low level of detail and the colors are a bit off. In harsh lighting conditions, this camera sensor suffers a lot because of its aperture which is only f/2.2. This sensor cannot take enough light to take good shots at night. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide photos taken at night time are not really usable.  They’re incredibly dark and noisy. Unlike the regular Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro on the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming model, there’s no night mode for the ultra-wide cam you can force HDR on getting a better result, and you will end up with less noise. In the video, this camera sensor has a lot of noise. Which is very annoying. You can’t use this ultra-wide camera at night time because it will contain so much grain and noise in the videos and pictures. The sensor aperture is F/2.2 which cannot collect more light at night time thus can take average shots at night time with more noise.

There is also a 2mp macro lens. Which is not used regularly. These camera sensors can take good shots with amazing details, amazing sharpness. The main lens also has optical image stabilization. Which is not as good as the flagship phones but still can do a good job while taking photos or making videos.

SELFIE CAMERA:

Megapixels 20 megapixels
Pixel size 0.8 microns
Sensor type Exmor-RS CMOS
Sensor size 1/2″
Video resolution 1080p (Full HD) at 60 FPS

The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming has a 20-megapixel Selfie Camera. It is good on the phone but, I’m so disappointed to see that there is no 4K recording on the Selfie Camera. Their recording is only kept on 108p up to 60 FPS. But considering this Selfie Camera is 20 megapixels. This means it will contain more details. It’s also F/2.2. So, that makes a little brighter at night time.

Connectivity:

Wi-Fi standard Wi-Fi 6E (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
Bluetooth version 5.2
USB type USB Type-C
USB version 2
NFC* Yes
Infrared port Yes

The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming comes with Wi-Fi 6E with the Bluetooth version of 5.2. Which can give high speeds with more coverage area. Thanks for the Wi-Fi 6E. It gives you a better upload and download speed. There is also an NFC port. Which is quite useful for today’s technology. Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming comes with the USB type C 2.0, which makes Charging faster and more efficient.

Network:

Number of SIM* 2
Type of SIM card Nano
Multi SIM mode Standby
eSIM support* No
Hybrid slot Yes
LTE Cat* 20
5G support Yes

Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming also has 5G support with the best bandwidth. This smartphone also has the support of LTE Cat 20 which contains a lot of bandwidth which makes the download speeds and upload speeds faster. Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming can support dual Sims at 5G. There is no Esim support. But we do get the Hybrid slot. The download and upload speeds are also great thanks to the latest modem of this Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

SOUND:

Speakers Stereo
Headphone audio jack No
FM radio No
Dolby Atmos Yes

Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming doesn’t have a headphone jack. It’s a Flagship smartphone so, it has Stereo speakers with Dolby atoms support. The speakers sound well. You can listen to music and can take calls with these speakers. It’s also supported by Dolby atmos which makes the sound experience on another level. The speaker has a nice amount of bass in the sound. You can feel the beat with the nice sound. There are two-speaker one at the bottom and another at the top. The top speaker is also used to take calls. The sound quality of Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming is A+. There is no 3.5-millimeter headphone Jack because it’s a flagship phone.

Colors:

Colors Black, Gray, Blue

The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming comes in three colors. There is Black, Gray, and Blue. I personally like the black color, because it gives a natural look to the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming. There is three colors available on this smartphone. But I know everyone is going to put a case on the back of the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming.

Final Thoughts:

Considering this phone for gaming then it’s a good option. Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming is rich in specs. It has an amazing display with a new design a bigger battery and with whopping 120 watts of fast charging. The performance of this smartphone is also great thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Which makes the performance of this smartphone to the next level. This chipset is also 5G which is also a plus point for those who have 5G in their city. I highly recommend this phone to buy if you are looking for a Gaming smartphone.
