In this Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro, we got to see the better design and the better back. It’s protected by a metal frame that’s why it makes a little heavier by 201 grams. You can play PUBG Mobile at a high frame rate thanks to big performance cores. one core is clocked on 3.05GHz which is Cortex X2, and 3 cores of Cortex A710 are clocked on 2.85Ghz. The L3 caches memory is 8MB which is fast. This chipset is very good at heat management. You can play games in a long term and this chipset will stay cool. The ram is based on LPDDR5 which is clocked on 2750MHz, the ram is 2 channels. Which is not fast as the 4 channel but still strong enough. There is also two storage options. The based one is 128GB and the high variant has 256GB of storage. This is a Flagship phone so there is also SD card support on this Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro. The storage is based on UFS 3.1 which is the fastest in the Flagship phones. The combination of LPDDR5 ram with the UFS 3.1 based storage is quite good with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000.

Benchmarks:

Single Core 1314
Multi core 4504

Now let’s talk about the benchmarks. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 has good CPU scores in the Geekbach 5. The single-core score is 1314. This is quite impressive when it comes to single-core performance also the multi-core which is 4504. Which is a lot faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The single-core performance is good. This means the application opening will be faster and quicker. The multi-core scores are also good. This can hold applications in the background for a long time. And it won’t affect the speeds. MediaTek Dimensity is known for its speeds.

Antutu 9 Benchmarks

The CPU scores are 257633. Which are faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The CPU scores great thanks to the 4NM fabricator which keeps the CPU cool. The CPU also has a good architecture based on big Cortex X2 and A710 cores. The memory scores great. Which is 188783. The UX scores 183037. Which is fast enough to handle the dynamic refresh rate of the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro. This processor can support the screen refresh rate at 120Hz. So, the UX also shows the best scores for a Flagship Processor. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 scores more than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the Antutu 9 benchmarks in the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro. The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro comes with a 5000Mah battery. Which is just enough for daily usage. The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro has a full day battery, on a single charge, it can live long up to a day.

MAIN CAMERA:

Matrix 108 megapixels
Image resolution 12032 x 9024
Zoom Digital
Flash LED
Stabilization Optical
8K video recording No
4K video recording Up to 30FPS
1080p video recording Up to 60FPS
Angle of widest lens 118°

Now let’s talk about the Camera. The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro. comes with a triple camera setup. The main camera is 108 megapixel F/1.9. There is no telephoto lens. There is an ultra-wide lens of 8megapixels as well. This is a pretty amazing Camera setup which means the photos will contain more details. There is only 4K at 30 FPS. The videos will contain more details and will be sharper thanks to its chipset. There is optical image stabilization on the main lens. The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro. Also supported the slow-motion 720p at 960 FPS. This is the same sensor that was used in the last-gen Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. Which was the best mid-range camera smartphone. This sensor is sharp and big. That collects more light at night thus making it the best camera sensor. This sensor was also used in the Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra. Which by this time the most amazing camera smartphones. The angle view of the ultra-wide is 118 degrees. Which is wide enough but can take good shots.

Lenses:

Wide (main) lens – 108 MP
– Aperture: f/1.9
– Pixel size: 0.7 micron
– Sensor: 1/1.52″, Samsung S5KHM2 (ISOCELL Plus CMOS)
– Phase autofocus
– Optical stabilization
Ultra-wide lens – 8 MP
– Aperture: f/2.2
– Pixel size: 1.12 micron
– Sensor: 1/4″, Samsung S5K4H7 (ISOCELL CMOS)
Macro lens – 2 MP
– Aperture: f/2.4
– Pixel size: 1.75 micron
– Sensor: 1/5″, GalaxyCore GC02M1 (CMOS)
Camera features – Bokeh mode
– Pro mode

The main sensor is 108mp. Which is Samsung S5KHM2. Samsung S5KHM2 sensor can be seen in a lot of smartphones in the midrange category also. And also in Flagships like the Xiaomi 11T Pro, Xiaomi 12 pro, Xiaomi 10T Pro. The main camera saves 12-megapixel images by default. These are all right with enough detail for this class and true to life colors the dynamic range is good. However, these photos are not ideal with visible noise and over-sharpening, and some corner softness. The Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G doesn’t have a depth sensor like the 4g model does, but that’s no problem portraits are excellent with detailed and sharp subjects and good separation. This sensor is brighter and big. Thanks to the aperture f/1.9. This sensor can take stronger portrait shots and can take great shots at nighttime because it’s combined with a wider aperture. This sensor is very good at maintaining a good dynamic range at harsh conditions. This sensor is also good at taking very amazing portraits with strong bokeh and good depth of field. At night the main cam takes good low-light photos. There is enough detail realistic-looking exposure and well-preserved colors. The noise is handled well too night mode photos are sharper with more resolved detail and, you get a wider dynamic range with restored highlights, and develop shadows while the exposure is slightly brighter. The Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G doesn’t turn night and day but can take best night shots. It is 108MP sensor so, combining that with great software can result in the best in smartphone photography. The autofocus in this camera sensor is incredibly fast. The sensor is a dual pixel. Overall the sensor is big, bright, and powerful.

There is also an ultra-wide lens of 8Mp. This sensor can be also seen in many devices like Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Poco X3, Poco F3, etc. This is also a great sensor considering its capabilities. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide photos are ok for this price range. But nothing great you get enough contrast and wide dynamic range but they come out soft with a low level of detail and the colors are a bit off. In harsh lighting conditions, this camera sensor suffers a lot because of its aperture which is only f/2.2. This sensor cannot take enough light to take good shots at night. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide photos taken at night time are not really usable.  They’re incredibly dark and noisy. Unlike the regular Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro on the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro model, there’s no night mode for the ultra-wide cam you can force HDR on get a better result, and you will end up with less noise. In the video, this camera sensor have a lot of noise. Which is very annoying. You can’t use this ultra-wide camera at night time because it will contain so much grain and noise in the videos and pictures. The sensor aperture is F/2.2 which cannot collect more light in night time thus can take average shots at night time with more noise.

There is also a 2mp macro lens. Which is not used regularly. These camera sensors can take good shots with amazing details, amazing sharpness. The main lens also have optical image stabilization. Which is not as good as the flagship phones but still can do a good job while taking photos or making videos.

SELFIE CAMERA:

Megapixels 20 megapixels
Pixel size 0.8 microns
Sensor type Exmor-RS CMOS
Sensor size 1/2″
Video resolution 1080p (Full HD) at 60 FPS

The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro has a 20-megapixel Selfie Camera. It is good on the phone but, I’m so disappointed to see that there is no 4K recording on the Selfie Camera. Their recording is only kept on 108p up to 60 FPS. But considering this Selfie Camera is 20 megapixels. This means it will contain more details. It’s also F/2.2. So, that makes it a little brighter at night time.

Connectivity:

Wi-Fi standard Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
Bluetooth version 5.2
USB type USB Type-C
USB version 2
NFC* Yes
Infrared port Yes

The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro comes with Wi-Fi 6 with the Bluetooth version of 5.2. Which can give high speeds with more coverage area. Thanks for the Wi-Fi 6. It gives you a better upload and download speed. There is also an NFC port. Which is quite useful for today’s technology. Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro comes with the USB type C 2.0, which makes Charging faster and more efficient.

Network:

Number of SIM* 2
Type of SIM card Nano
Multi SIM mode Standby
eSIM support* No
Hybrid slot Yes
LTE Cat* 20
5G support Yes

Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro also has 5G support with the best bandwidth. This smartphone also has the support of LTE Cat 20 which contains a lot of bandwidth which makes the download speeds and upload speeds faster. Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro can support dual Sims at 5G. There is no Esim support. But we do get the Hybrid slot. The download and upload speeds are also great thanks to the latest modem of this MediaTek Dimensity 9000.

SOUND:

Speakers Stereo
Headphone audio jack No
FM radio No
Dolby Atmos Yes

Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro doesn’t have a headphone jack. It’s a Flagship smartphone so, it has Stereo speakers with Dolby atoms support. The speakers sound well. You can listen to music and can take calls with these speakers. It’s also supported by Dolby atmos which makes the sound experience on another level. The speaker has a nice amount of bass in the sound. You can feel the beat with the nice sound. There are two-speaker one at the bottom and another at the top. The top speaker is also use to take calls. The sound quality of the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro is A+. There is no 3.5-millimeter headphone Jack because it’s a flagship phone.

Colors:

colors Black, Gray, Blue, Green

The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro comes in three colors. There is Black, Gray, and Blue. I personally like the black color, because it gives a natural look to the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro. There are three colors available on this smartphone. But I know everyone is going to put a case on the back of the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro.

Final Thoughts:

Considering this phone for gaming then it’s a good option. Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro is rich in specs. It has an amazing display with a new design a bigger battery and with whopping 120 watts of fast charging. The performance of this smartphone is also great thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 9000. Which makes the performance of this smartphone to the next level. This chipset is also 5G which is also a plus point for those who have 5G in their city. I highly recommend this phone to buy if you are looking for a Gaming smartphone.
