Apple A12 Bionic Complete review with benchmarks

In today’s article, I am going to review Apple A12 Bionic. I’m going to review its AnTuTu 9, CPU, Graphics, Memory, Multimedia, Connectivity, and gaming experience.

Apple A12 Bionic:

Over the last few years, Apple is leading in the smartphones chipsets market, but in 2022 the company went so far with the record-breaking new chipsets. We’ve seen some amazing chipsets like Apple A14, Apple A15 that made into the Top 5 the AnTuTu 9 benchmarks, and Apple A14 that was launched in Apple iPhone 12 Series smartphones. Let’s start with the benchmarks.

Apple A12 Bionic shows the best AnTuTu 9 scores. We can see the big jump in the GPU performance. The total performance of the GPU is 195079, which is faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The CPU also shows one of the best scores. It is 143829 which is also faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The memory scores also show a significant boost. Apple A12 Bionic memory is faster than Apple A11 Bionic, Apple A10 bionic. The memory scores are 85033. The Ux is also showing one of the best performances. It is 107266 which is faster than Apple A11 Bionic, and Apple A10 bionic. Total scores are above 531439. The total scores of this chipset will depend on which smartphone is using this chipset with which type of ram. A12 Bionic is considerably gaining a performance boost and beating the last-gen Apple A12 Bionic processor in the iPhone category. This processor can be seen in iPhone 12 Series. In the Flagship segment, it’s the best processor for gaming, camera, battery, display, and everything.

The single-core scores show the best performance in this smartphone mid-range category lineup. The single-core scores are 1124. And the multi-core scores are 2919 which is also beating every chipset in the multi-core performance in this range. iPhone is known for its CPU performance. Even if it’s an old chipset but it’s still fast enough to beat some of the latest chipsets.

Apple A12 Bionic launched with the two big cores of Vortex which are ultra-high performance cores that are clocked on 2.49GHz. The other 4 cores are based on Tempest which is power efficiency cores. The Vortex also has the best speeds and good set instruction architecture. There is a total of 6 cores with a boost clock of 2.49GHz. Apple A12 Bionic has the latest set of instruction architecture. It is considerably fast and strong enough to beat some of the latest and powerful Chipsets. Apple A12 Bionic is fabricated on 7Nm. This means Apple A12 Bionic will be power efficient and will consume less battery and will produce less heat. It is fast with the big two Vortex. It is also L2 cache is also 8MB which is a lot faster than the other processor in the market right now. The TDP is 6Watts which means the processor will be best with the battery management. In this A12 Bionic, the CPU performance is very fast and very efficient. There is an 6.9 Billion transistors in this Apple A12 Bionic which is more than enough for a mobile chipset. This processor has incredible speeds and good optimization.

Apple GPU is the new architecture that they are using in the Apple A12 Bionic. The GPU is also manufactured using the 7Nm technology. Which means it will also be power efficient. The name of the GPU is Apple A12 Bionic GPU. This is the fastest GPU in this lineup. The Apple A12 Bionic is fast enough to handle games like FREE FIRE and PUBG MOBILE. The GPU score is faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 which means there will be a smooth gaming experience on this chipset.

Apple A12 Bionic uses the new LPDDR4x ram with the memory frequency of 2133MHz and uses the bus of 1×64 bit. The ram size may change according to the smartphones. The memory frequency is also going to be changed according to smartphones. The max memory bandwidth is 34.1Gbit/s which is also faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which was used in Samsun Galaxy S10 Plus. The max memory size is 12GB. This chipset cannot support more ram than the size of 12GB.

Apple A12 Bionic uses its own Neural Engine which is fast with AI calculations and can be used to accelerate video analysis, voice recognition, and image processing. Apple A12 Bionic uses the NVMe which is fast. This gives you fast read and writing speeds.

Apple A12 Bionic has the maximum display support of QuadHD+ and can support the 60Hz refresh rate with the Super Amoled. The video capture is kept on 4k at 60FPS and the video playback is also 4k at 60FPS. There is no 8k support on this  A12 Bionic. It is a bit of a shame to see there is no 8k support on a 2021 Flagship processor.

Apple A12 Bionic has 5G support. The Apple A12 Bionic also comes with the Wi-Fi 5 and the Bluetooth version of 5.0. This will give you better signals and better speeds. A12 Bionic uses its own modem. It is not fast as the X65 but it gives you good speeds.

Apple A12 Bionic is launched in these 3 smartphones. As you can see these 3 smartphone scores are different. iPhone XS Max is at the top. Which is a considerably great phone with this chipset. The Apple iPhone 12 pro is a good smartphone for pretty much everything for gaming, the camera, for normal use, and its packet with amazing features.

The gaming experience on this chipset is going to be faster than the Apple A12 Bionic. This chipset is combined with the 2 Big Vortex cores which boost the performance. With 2 Big Vortex, there is going to be a little issue of overheating. The frequency of this chipset is 2.49GHz, which is good for long-term gaming. This chipset also supports the LPDDR4x ram. This means there will be no issues with using this chipset in a long-term gaming session. This chipset also supports a 60Hz refresh rate. This will help in smooth performance with low latency. This chipset is can play PUBG MOBILE at 60FPS, and other games at high FPS as well, this is because of the GPU.
