In today’s article, I am going to review Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. I’m going to review its AnTuTu 9, CPU, Graphics, Memory, Multimedia, Connectivity, and gaming experience.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888:

Over the last few years, Qualcomm Snapdragon is leading in the smartphone chipsets market, but in 2022 the company went so far with record-breaking new chipsets. We’ve seen some amazing chipsets like Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus that made it into the Top 5 in the AnTuTu 9 benchmarks, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 that was launched in Poco X3 Pro. Let’s start with the benchmarks.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 shows the best AnTuTu 9 scores. We can see a big jump in GPU performance. The total performance of the GPU is 316401, which is slower than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus. The CPU also shows one of the best scores. It is 201121 which is also faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus. The memory scores also show a significant boost. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 memory is faster than Qualcomm Snapdragon 860, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus. The memory scores are 123476. The Ux is also showing one of the best performances. It is 155182 which is faster than Qualcomm Snapdragon 860, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. Total scores are above 802285. The total scores of this chipset will depend on which smartphone is using this chipset with which type of ram. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 is considerably gaining a performance boost and beating the last-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor. In the Flagship segment, it’s the best processor for gaming, camera, battery, display, and for everything.

The single-core scores show the best performance in this smartphone mid-range category lineup. The single-core scores are 1130. And the multi-core scores are 3705 which is also beating every chipset in the multi-core performance in this range. Qualcomm Snapdragon is known for its CPU performance. Even if it’s an old chipset but it’s still fast enough to beat some of the latest chipsets.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 launched with the 1 big core of Cortex X1 which is an ultra-high performance core and is clocked on 2.84GHz. The other 3 cores are based on Cortex A78 which are performance cores. The other 4 cores are the power efficiency cores of Cortex A55. The Cortex X1 also has the best speeds and good set instruction architecture. There is a total of 6 cores with a boost clock of 2.84GHz. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 has the latest set of instruction architecture. It is considerably fast and strong enough to beat some of the latest and most powerful Chipsets. Snapdragon 888 is fabricated on 5Nm. This means Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 will be power efficient and will consume less battery and will produce less heat. It is fast with the big two Cortex X1. The L3 cache is also 4MB which is a lot faster than the other processor in the market right now. The TDP is 10Watts which means the processor will be best with battery management. In this Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, the CPU performance is very fast and very efficient. There is a 9Billion+ transistor in this Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 which is more than enough for a mobile chipset. This processor has incredible speeds and good optimization.

The Adreno 600 is the new architecture that they are using in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The GPU is also manufactured using the 5Nm technology. Which means it will also be power efficient. The name of the GPU is Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 GPU. This is one of the fastest GPUs in this lineup. The Snapdragon 888 is fast enough to handle games like FREE FIRE, and PUBG MOBILE. The GPU score is faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 which means there will be a smooth gaming experience on this chipset.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 uses the new LPDDR5 ram with a memory frequency of 3200MHz and uses a bus of 4×16 bit. The ram size may change according to the smartphone. The memory frequency is also going to be changed according to smartphones. The max memory bandwidth is 51.2Gbit/s which is also faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 which was used in Poco X3 Pro. The max memory size is 24GB. This chipset cannot support more ram than the size of 24GB.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 uses its own Hexagon 770 Neural engine which is fast with AI calculations and can be used to accelerate video analysis, voice recognition, and image processing. Snapdragon 888 uses the NVMe which is fast. This gives you fast reading and writing speeds.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 has the maximum display support of QuadHD+ and can support the 60Hz refresh rate with the Super Amoled. The video capture is kept on 8k at 30FPS and the video playback is also 8k at 60FPS. This processor camera support is 200MP.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 has 5G support. The Snapdragon 888 also comes with Wi-Fi 6 and the Bluetooth version 5.2. This will give you better signals and better speeds. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 uses X60 5G modem. It is not fast as the X65 but it gives you good speeds.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 is launched in these 10 smartphones. As you can see these 10 smartphone scores are different. Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Pro is at the top. Which is a considerably great phone with this chipset. The Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Pro is a good smartphone for pretty much everything for gaming, for the camera, for normal use, and its packet with amazing features.

The gaming experience on this chipset is going to be faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. This chipset is combined with the 1 Big Cortex X1 core and which boosts the performance. With 2 Big Cortex A78, there is going to be a little issue of overheating. The frequency of this chipset is 2.84GHz, which is good for long-term gaming. This chipset also supports the LPDDR5 ram. This means there will be no issues with using this chipset in a long-term gaming session. This chipset also supports a 60Hz refresh rate. This will help in smooth performance with low latency. This chipset is can play PUBG MOBILE at 90FPS, and other games at high FPS as well, this is because of the GPU.
