In today’s article, I am going to review Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. I’m going to review its AnTuTu 9, CPU, Graphics, Memory, Multimedia, Connectivity, and gaming experience.

Over the last few years, Qualcomm Snapdragon is leading in the mobile chip market, but in 2022 the company has gone so far with record-breaking new chipsets. We’ve seen some amazing chipsets like Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that top the antutu 9 benchmarks, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 that was launched in OnePlus 9 Pro, and many more smartphones. Now we have the full specs and full complete details of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, let’s start off with the benchmarks.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 shows the best Antutu 9 scores. We can see a big jump in GPU performance. The total performance of the GPU is 217457, which is a bit slower than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. The CPU also shows one of the best scores. It is 181605 which is a bit slower than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. The memory scores also show a significant boost. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 memory is faster than Snapdragon 855, and Snapdragon 855 Plus. The Ux is also showing one of the best performances. It is 141147, which is faster than S Snapdragon 855, and Snapdragon 855 Plus. Total scores are above 651862. It will depend on which smartphone manufacturers use this chipset with which type of ram. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is considerably gaining a performance boost and beating every processor in the flagship category

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 launched with the Big 1 core of Cortex-A77 at 2.84GHz and three big cores of Cortex-A77 which is ultra-high performance cores that are clocked on 2.42 GHz. The other 4 cores is based on Cortex-A55 which is a power-efficiency core. The Cortex-A77 also has the best speeds and good set instruction architecture. There are total of 8 cores with a boost clock of 2.95 GHz. Snapdragon 865 has the latest set of instruction architecture. It is considerably fast and strong enough to beat some of the latest and most powerful Chipsets. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is fabricated on 7Nm. This means Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 will be power efficient and will consume less battery and will produce less heat.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 has a new architecture-based GPU. Adreno 600 is the new architecture that they are using in the Snapdragon 865. The GPU is also manufactured using the 7Nm technology. Which means it will also be power efficient. The name of the GPU is Adreno 650. This is the fastest GPU in this lineup. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is fast enough to handle games like FREEFIRE, PUBG MOBILE. The GPU score is faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 which means there will be a smooth gaming experience on this chipset. The GPU is clocked on 587MHz. The shading units are also 512 which will help in rendering the graphics in gaming. There is also DirectX support 12 which means this processor will support the latest games without any bugs and delays. This processor has one of the fastest GPU because it’s clocked on 587MHz with shading units of 512.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 uses the new LPDDR5 ram with a memory frequency of 2750MHz and uses a bus of 4×16. The ram may be changed according to the smartphone. The memory frequency is also going to be changed according to the smartphones. The max memory bandwidth is 34.1Gbit/s which is also faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which was used in Oneplus 7 pro.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 uses the hexagon 698 which is fast with AI calculations. Snapdragon 865 uses UFS 3.0 and UFS 3.1 which is fast. This gives you fast reading and writing speeds.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 has the maximum display support of QuadHD+ and can support the 120Hz refresh rate with the super Amoled. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is going to be very aggressive when it comes to a camera support. It supports cameras up to 192MP. The video capture is kept on 4K 120Fps and the video playback is also 4K at 120FPS. There is also 8k 30FPS support on this Snapdragon 865. It is great to see there is 8k support on a 2021 flagship processor.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 has 5G support. The Snapdragon 865 also comes with wi-fi 6 and the Bluetooth version of 5.2. This will give you better signals and better speeds. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 uses the X55 5G modem. Which is not fast as the X65 but it gives you good speeds.

Gaming experience on this chipset is going to be a little faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. This chipset is combined with the 1 Big A77 core and three Cortex-A710 which boost the performance. With 1 big Cortex A77 core, there is also going to be a few issues with heating. The frequency of this chipset is 2.42GHz, which is good for long-term gaming. This chipset also supports the LPDDR5 ram. This means there will be no issues of using this chipset in a long-term gaming session. This chipset also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. This will help in smooth performance with low latency. This chipset is can support PUBG MOBILE at 90FPS, this is because of the scores of the GPU.
