MediaTek Helio G90T:
Over the last few years, MediaTek is leading in the mobiles chip market, but in 2020 the company has gone so far with the record-breaking new chipsets. We’ve seen some amazing chipsets like MediaTek Dimensity 1200, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 which tops the Antutu 9 benchmarks, and MediaTek Dimensity 920 which was launched in Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus and many more smartphones. Now we have the full specs and full complete details of the MediaTek Helio G90T, let’s start off with the benchmarks
AnTuTu 9:
CPU | 89951 |
GPU | 90339 |
Memory | 63386 |
UX | 87168 |
Total score | 333638 |
MediaTek Helio G90T shows the best Antutu 9 scores. We can see the big jump in the GPU performance. The total performance of the GPU is 90339, which is slower than the MediaTek Helio G95. The CPU also shows one of the best scores. It is 89951 which is a bit slower than the Snapdragon 732G. The memory scores also show a significant boost. Helio G90T memory is faster than Snapdragon 680, and Snapdragon 678. The Ux is also showing one of the best performances. It is 87168, which is faster than Snapdragon 680, and Snapdragon 678G. MediaTek Helio G90T total scores are above 333638. It will depend on which smartphones manufacturers using this chipset with which type of ram. MediaTek Helio G90T is considerably gaining a performance boost and beating every processor in the Mid-rand category.
Geekbench 5:
Single-Core Score | 499 |
Multi-Core Score | 1630 |
The single-core scores show the best performance in this smartphone mid-range category lineup. The single-core scores are 499. And the multi-core scores are 1630 which is also good at this point.
CPU:
Architecture | 2x 2.055 GHz – Cortex-A76 6x 2 GHz – Cortex-A55 |
Cores | 8 |
Frequency | 2050 MHz |
Instruction set | ARMv8.2-A |
Process | 12 nanometers |
TDP | 5 W |
MediaTek Helio G90T lunched with the Big 2 cores of Cortex-A76 which are ultra-high performance cores that are clocked on 2.05 GHz. The other 6 cores is based on Cortex-A55 which is a power efficiency core. There is a little disappointment that why they haven’t used the Cortex X1 or X2. But the Cortex-A76 also has the best speeds and good set instruction architecture. There are a total of 8 cores with a boost clock of 2.05 GHz. Helio G90T has the latest set of instruction architecture. It is not considered fast but it is strong enough to beat some of the latest and most powerful Chipsets. MediaTek Helio G90T is fabricated on 12Nm. This means MediaTek Helio G90T will be not power efficient and will consume more battery and will produce more heat. The TDP shows 5 watts.
Graphics:
GPU name | Mali-G76 MC4 |
Architecture | Bifrost |
GPU frequency | 800 MHz |
Execution units | 4 |
Shading units | 64 |
FLOPS | 184 Gigaflops |
Vulkan version | 1.1 |
OpenCL version | 2.0 |
DirectX version | 12 |
MediaTek Helio G90T has a new architecture-based GPU. Bifrost is the new architecture that they are using in the Helio G90T. The GPU is also manufactured using the 12Nm technology. Which means it will also be power efficient. The name of the GPU is Mali-G76 MC4. This is the fastest GPU in this lineup. The MediaTek Helio G90T is fast enough to handle games like FREE FIRE and PUBG MOBILE. The GPU score is faster than the MediaTek Helio G90T which means there will be a smooth gaming experience on this chipset. The GPU is clocked on 850MHz. The shading units are also 64 which will help in rendering the graphics in gaming. There is also DirectX support of 12 which means this processor will support the latest games without any bugs and delays.
Memory:
Memory type | LPDDR4X |
Memory frequency | 2133 MHz |
Bus | 2x 16 Bit |
Max bandwidth | 17.1 Gbit/s |
Max size | 10 GB |
MediaTek Helio G90T uses the new LPDDR4x ram with the memory frequency of 2133MHz and uses the bus of 2×32. The ram may be changed according to the smartphone manufacturers, like XIAOMI, REALME, VIVO, etc. The memory frequency is also going to be changed according to the smartphone manufacturers. The max memory bandwidth is 17.1Gbit/s which is also faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 which was used in Realme 9. The max memory size is 10GB.
Support:
Neural processor (NPU) | Yes |
Storage type | eMMC 5.1, UFS 2.1 |
Max display resolution | 2520 x 1080 |
Max camera resolution | 1x 64MP, 2x 24MP |
Video capture | 4K at 30FPS |
Video playback | 4K at 30FPS |
MediaTek Helio G90T uses their own neural engine which is fast with the AI calculations. MediaTek Helio G90T uses the UFS 2.1 which is fast. This gives you fast read and writing speeds.
MediaTek Helio G90T has the maximum display support of FullHD+ and can support the 120Hz refresh rate with the super Amoled. Helio G90T is going to be very aggressive when it comes to camera support. It supports a camera up to 64MP. The video capture is kept on 4k at 30FPS and the video playback is also 4k at 30FPS. There is no 4K 60Fps support on this MediaTek Helio G90T. Which is a bit of a shame to see there is no 4K 60Fps support on a 2022 mid-range Chipset.
Connectivity:
5G support | No |
Wi-Fi | 5 |
Bluetooth | 5.0 |
MediaTek Helio G90T has no 5G support. The MediaTek Helio G90T also comes with the wi-fi 5 and the Bluetooth version of 5.0. This will give you better signals and better speeds. MediaTek Helio G90T uses their own modem. It is not fast as the X65 but it gives you good speeds.
Smartphones
Phones with Helio G90T | AnTuTu v9 |
1. Oppo Realme 6S | 337618 |
2. Oppo Realme 6 | 337456 |
3. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro | 333638 |
MediaTek Helio G90T is launched in these 3 smartphones. As you can see these 3 smartphone scores are different. Oppo Realme 6S is at the top. Which is a considerably great phone with this chipset.

The gaming experience on this chipset is going to be a little faster than the MediaTek Helio G90. This chipset is combined with the 2 Big A76 cores which boost the performance. With 2 big Cortex A-76 cores, there are also going to be a few issues with heating. The frequency of this chipset is 2.05 GHz, which is good for long-term gaming. This chipset also supports the LPDDR4x ram. This means there will be no issues with using this chipset in a long-term gaming session. This chipset also supports a 90Hz refresh rate. This will help in smooth performance with low latency. This chipset is can support PUBG MOBILE at 60FPS, this is because of the scores of the GPU.
