The Mali-G68 MC4 is one of the powerful GPUs in a mid-range phone, which makes the Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G more powerful than other mid-range smartphones. You can play PUBG Mobile at a high frame rate thanks to the two big cores of Cortex A78. The two big cores of Cortex A78 are clocked on 2.2Ghz which is fast for a mid-range chipset. This chipset is fabricated using 6NM which will also help to save battery and produce less heat. The GPU clock is 750Mhz which is also fast and will be power efficient. Single Core | 545 |
Multicore | 1917 |
Now let’s talk about the benchmarks. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 has good CPU scores in the Geekbach 5. The single-core score is 545. This is quite impressive when it comes to single-core performance also the multi-core which is 1917. Which is a lot faster than the last-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 680. The single-core performance is good. This means the application opening will be faster and quicker. The multi-core scores are also good. This can hold applications in the background for a long time. And it won’t affect the speeds. Qualcomm Snapdragon is known for its speeds.
Antutu 9 Benchmarks
CPU | 123553 |
GPU | 99860 |
Memory | 71001 |
UX | 96092 |
Total score | 390697 |
Now let’s talk about the Antutu 9 scores. The GPU is greatly optimized and has good scores, which is 99860 for a Mid-range smartphone. The GPU is a bit faster than the Snapdragon 732G which is a bit odd to see. The CPU scores are 123553. Which are faster than the last-gen Snapdragon 732G. The CPU scores great thanks to the 6NM fabricator. The CPU also has a good architecture based on big Cortex A78 cores. The memory also scores great. Which is 71001. The UX scores 96092. Which is fast enough to handle the dynamic refresh rate of the Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G. The memory speed is a little bit slower but it’s fast enough. If they would’ve given the UFS 3.1 support then the memory would’ve been a lot faster. This processor can support the screen refresh rate at 120Hz. So, the UX also shows the best scores for a Mid-range Processor. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 scores more than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G in the Antutu 9 benchmarks in the Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G. MAIN CAMERA:
Matrix | 108 megapixels |
Image resolution | 12032 x 9024 |
Zoom | Digital |
Flash | LED |
Stabilization | Digital |
8K video recording | No |
4K video recording | Up to 30FPS |
1080p video recording | Up to 60FPS |
Angle of widest lens | 120° |
Now let’s talk about the Camera. The Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G comes with a triple camera setup. The main camera is 108 megapixel F/1.9. There is no telephoto lens. There is an ultra-wide lens of 8megapixels as well. This is a pretty amazing Camera setup that means the photos will contain more details. There is only 4K at 30 FPS. The videos will contain more details and will be sharper thanks to its chipset. There is no optical image stabilization on the ultra-wide lens and on the main lens. The Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G. Also supported the slow-motion 720p at 960 FPS. This is the same sensor that was used in the last-gen Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. Which was the best mid-range camera smartphone. This sensor is sharp and big. That collects more light at night thus making it the best camera sensor. This sensor was also used in the Samsung Galaxy S21/S22 ultra. Which by this time the most amazing camera smartphones. The angel view of the ultra-wide is 120 degree. Which is not wide enough but can take good shots.
Lenses:
Wide (main) lens | – 108 MP – Aperture: f/1.9 – Focal length: 26 mm – Pixel size: 0.7 micron – Sensor: 1/1.52″, Samsung S5KHM2 (ISOCELL Plus CMOS) – Phase autofocus (Dual Pixel) |
Ultra-wide lens | – 8 MP – Aperture: f/2.2 – Pixel size: 1.14 micron – Sensor: 1/2.8″, Sony IMX355 (Exmor-RS CMOS) |
Macro lens | – 2 MP – Aperture: f/2.4 – Focal length: 50 mm |
Camera features | – Bokeh mode – Pro mode |
The main sensor is 108mp. Which is Samsung S5KHM2. Samsung S5KHM2 sensor can be seen in a lot of smartphones in midrange category also. And also in Flagships like the Xiaomi 11T Pro, Xiaomi 12 pro, Xiaomi 10T Pro. The main camera saves 12-megapixel images by default. These are all right with enough detail for this class and true to life colors the dynamic range is good. However, these photos are not ideal with visible noise and over-sharpening, and some corner softness. The Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G doesn’t have a depth sensor like the 4g model does, but that’s no problem portraits are excellent with detailed and sharp subjects and good separation. This sensor is brighter and big. Thanks to the aperture f/1.9. This sensor can take stronger portrait shots and can take great shots in the nighttime because it’s combined with a wider aperture. This sensor is very good at maintaining a good dynamic range at harsh conditions. This sensor is also good at taking very amazing portraits with strong bokeh and good depth of field. At night the main cam takes good low-light photos. There is enough detail realistic-looking exposure and well-preserved colors. The noise is handled well too night mode photos are sharper with more resolved detail and, you get a wider dynamic range with restored highlights, and develop shadows while the exposure is slightly brighter. The Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G doesn’t turn night and day but can take best night shots. It is 108MP sensor so, combining that with great software can result the best in smartphone photography. The autofocus in this camera sensor is incredibly fast. The sensor is a dual pixel. Overall the sensor is big, bright, and powerful.
There is also an ultra-wide lens of 8Mp. Which is Sony IMX 355. This sensor can be also seen in many devices like Redmi note 10 pro, redmi note 11 pro, poco x3 , Poco f3 etc. This is also great sensor considering its capabilities. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide photos are ok for this price range. But nothing great you get enough contrast and wide dynamic range but they come out soft with a low level of detail and the colors are a bit off. In harsh lighting conditions, this camera sensor suffers a lot because of its aperture which is only f/2.2. This sensor cannot take enough light to take good shots at night. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide photos taken at night time are not really usable. They’re incredibly dark and noisy. Unlike the regular Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro on the Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G model, there’s no night mode for the ultra-wide cam you can force HDR on get a better result, and you will end up with less noise. In video this camera sensor have a lot of noise. Which is very annoying. You can’t use this ultra-wide camera at night time because it will contain so much grain and noise in the videos and pictures. The sensor aperture is F/2.2 which cannot collect more light in night time thus can take average shots at night time with more noise.
There is also 2mp macro lens. Which is not used regularly. These camera sensors can take good shots with amazing details, amazing sharpness. The main lens also have optical image stabilization. Which is not as good as the flagship phones but still can do a good job while taking photos or making videos.
SELFIE CAMERA:
Megapixels | 16 megapixels |
Image resolution | 4608 x 3456 |
Pixel size | 1 microns |
Sensor type | CMOS |
Sensor size | 1/3.06″ |
Video resolution | 1080p (Full HD) at 60 FPS |
The Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G has a 16-megapixel Selfie Camera. It is good on the phone but, I’m so disappointed to see that there is no 4K recording on the Selfie Camera. Their recording is only kept on 108p up to 30 FPS. But considering this Selfie Camera is 16 megapixels. This means it will contain more details. It’s also F/2.4. So, that makes it not brighter enough at night time. Taking photos at night time will be a big issue for the sensor.
Connectivity:
Wi-Fi standard | Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) |
Bluetooth version | 5.1 |
USB type | USB Type-C |
USB version | 2 |
NFC* | Depends on the region |
Infrared port | Yes |
The Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G comes with Wi-Fi 5 with the Bluetooth version of 5.1. Which contain less speed and less coverage area. Thanks for the Wi-Fi 5. It gives you every better upload and download speed. There is also an NFC port. Which is quite useful for today’s technology. Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G comes with the USB type C 2.0, which makes Charging faster and more efficient. Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G comes with a home button fingerprint sensor. Which is fast and quick.

Number of SIM* | 2 |
Type of SIM card | Nano |
Multi SIM mode | Standby |

Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G also has 5G support with the best bandwidth. This smartphone also has the support of LTE Cat 18 which contains a lot of bandwidth which makes the download speeds and upload speeds faster. Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G can support dual Sims at 5G. There is no Esim support. But we do get the Hybrid slot. The download and upload speeds are also great thanks to the latest modem of this Qualcomm Snapdragon 695.
SOUND:
Speakers | Stereo |
Headphone audio jack | Yes |
Dolby Atmos | Yes |
Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G has a headphone jack. It’s a Midrange smartphone so, it has Stereo speakers with the Dolby atoms support. The speakers sound well. You can listen to music and can take calls with these speakers. It’s also supported with the Dolby atmos which makes the sound experience on another level. The speaker have nice amount of bass in the sound. You can feel the beat with the nice sound. There are two-speaker one at the bottom and another at the top. The top speaker is also used to take calls. The sound quality of the Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G is A+. There is also a 3.5-millimeter headphone Jack because it’s a mid-range phone. This is a mid-range smartphone so there is also a headphone jack.
Colors:
Colors | Black, Blue, Yellow |
This phone comes in three different colors. There is Black, Blue, and Yellow. I personally like the black color, because it gives a natural look to the Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G. There are three colors available on this smartphone. But I know everyone is going to put a case on the back of the Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G.
Final Thoughts:
Considering this phone for gaming and for daily usage then it’s a good option. Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G is rich in specs. It has an amazing display with a new design with a bigger battery and with whapping 120 watts of fast charging. The performance of this smartphone is also great thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695. This processor contains big two cores of Cortex A78. Which makes the performance of this smartphone to the next level. This chipset is also 5G which is great to see on a $300 phone.
