Size | 6.59 inches, 104.5 cm2 (~83.9% screen-to-body ratio) |

Unlike the regular OnePlus Ace, this time they are using an IPS LCD panels instead of IPS LCD. OnePlus Ace Racing has an amazing 6.59 inches IPS LCD, 120Hz display. There is no HDR10+ support, and the peak brightness of this smartphone is 600 nits. The display is Full HD+ with a PPI density of 401. This display is faster and more accurate with 120Hz support. The display is not that punchier and vibrant because it’s an LCD panel. The gaming experience is also going to be very good because of its 120Hz refresh rate and also the content watching will be good. Thanks to DCIP3 technology. OnePlus Ace Racing is using the IPS LCD panel. Which is good and can deliver faster performance with no touch lag issuers. The display is also protected by the Gorilla Glass 5. Screen to body ratio is 83%, which will give you thicker bezels. The display ratio is 20:9 which means content watching will be amazing. The display is not as beautiful as it is on the OnePlus Ace, but at least it’s good to see on a flagship phone.
DESIGN & BUILD:
Dimensions | 164.3 x 75.8 x 8.7 mm (6.47 x 2.98 x 0.34 in) |
Weight | 205 g (7.23 oz) |

This time OnePlus has released many smartphones with similar designs like the OnePlus 10R, OnePlus Ace, and OnePlus 10 Pro. OnePlus Ace Racing has a similar design with new textures on the back. The rear is made of glass and the frame is made of plastic, which makes it a little lighter than other Flagship smartphones. There’s no IP68 water and dust resistance in this OnePlus Ace Racing. The phone is protected by a plastic frame that’s why it makes it lighter by 205 grams. The fingerprint scanner it’s located in the in-home button which is faster than the under the display.

OnePlus Ace Racing has the same chipset, which was used in the OnePlus Ace. OnePlus Ace Racing is launching with the most-fastest chipset, which is MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max. Which scores in the top 3 in AnTuTu 9 benchmarks. These higher performance cores make the phone experience much smoother with the 120Hz display. The gaming experience is also on another level with the new cooling system in this smartphone. The Mali-G610 MC6 is one of the most powerful GPUs on this planet right now, which makes the OnePlus Ace Racing faster than other Flagship smartphones. I already published a complete article on this chipset you can check that out here MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max. We will talk about the AnTuTu 9 scores in a minute but first, let’s take a look at the memory and storage.

And with the new MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max, the performance will be much smoother. The ram is LPDDR5 with a memory frequency of 2750MHz. OnePlus Ace Racing has the fastest UFS 3.1 storage. Which will load the apps much faster. There is no SD card support which is no issue because you can get a 512GB model.
Benchmarks:
Antutu 9 Benchmarks
Total score | 787901 |
MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max shows one of the best AnTuTu 9 scores. Total scores are 787901. Which are a little bit higher than the MediaTek Dimensity 8000. MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max is gaining a performance boost and beating the last-gen MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processor. In the Flagship segment, this processor is best for gaming, camera, battery, display, and everything. You will experience a much smoother touch, opening, and closing of apps.
Software:
Operating system | Android 12 |
ROM | ColorOS 12.1 |
The OnePlus Ace Racing is going to be launching with Android 12 straight out of the box. Which is more customizable than the Android 11 and has tons of new features. This new custom ROM is optimized well with new cool animations and wallpapers. This new ColorOS 12.1 fix old bugs like touch lags, camera app improvements, new layouts, improved dark mode, and a new gaming turbo engine. OnePlus is known for its good software optimization with its new custom ROM.
Battery:
Capacity | 5000 mAh |
Charge power | 67 W |
Wireless charging | No |
Reverse wireless charging | No |
Battery type | Li-Po |
Full charging time | 0.29 hr |
OnePlus Ace Racing comes with a massive 67 watts charger. Which can fully charge the OnePlus Ace Racing in just 29 minutes which is amazingly fast. There is wireless charging support. The charging speeds are so good that on 12 minutes of charge this OnePlus Ace Racing can last up to 6 hours thanks to that massive 5000MAh battery. OnePlus Ace Racing is a full-day phone I mean this phone can last all day long. This type of smartphone is needed for that person who travels a lot. Because this phone can charge in just 10 minutes compared to the iPhone 13 pro max which takes about 2 hours to charge. The battery is more massive than the OnePlus Ace but they downgraded the charging speeds, from 150 watts to 67 watts.
MAIN CAMERA:
Matrix | 64 megapixels |
Image resolution | 8700 x 5800 |
Zoom | Digital |
Flash | Dual LED |
Stabilization | Optical |
8K video recording | No |
4K video recording | 30 FPS |
1080p video recording | Up to 60FPS |
Lenses | (64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP) |
Unlike the regular OnePlus Ace, this OnePlus Ace Racing has a 64MP main camera sensor Sony IMX 686 F/1.7. What makes this camera setup even more awesome is that this camera lens is combined with the wide aperture of F/1.7, the wider the aperture the more light will it collect and the more sharp the image and video quality will be. This OnePlus Ace Racing can record video at 4K at 60 FPS. This is amazing the video will contain more details thanks to its good optimization software and the high-end processor. You can also record 4K at 30FPS which will contain even more details and will be sharper. There is no optical image stabilization, but there is electronic image stabilization. This is quite impressive, this will make the camera experience stable. The OnePlus Ace Racing has 2 more camera lenses. Let’s talk about that in detail.
Lenses:
Triple | 64 MP, f/1.7, 25mm (wide), PDAF 8 MP, f/2.2, 15mm, 119˚ (ultrawide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro) |
Features | LED flash, HDR, panorama |
As I mentioned above that this 64 MP sensor is good. But this OnePlus Ace Racing has 2 more camera lenses. There is another camera sensor of 8MP which is an ultra-wide camera. The field of view is 16mm which is wider. This camera sensor also has some amazing autofocus. This sensor can take amazing shots with high accuracy. Its aperture is F/2.2, which makes it sharp and contains good tons on subjects. This OnePlus Ace Racing has an amazing camera setup, with fast autofocus lenses, high sensors, and good software optimization. There is another 2MP macro camera which is useless in most situations because it’s only 2MP. The only difference between the camera between OnePlus Ace camera and the OnePlus Ace Racing camera is the main sensor only. You can see the complete article on the OnePlus Ace.
SELFIE CAMERA:
Single | 16 MP, f/2.1, 26mm (wide), 1/3.09″, 1.0µm |
Features | HDR |
Video | 1080p@30fps, gyro-EIS |
The selfie camera is good in this smartphone than their last model OnePlus Ace. This time they have gone with a wider aperture with a bigger camera sensor for the selfie camera, thus making the clear shots with high dynamic range. OnePlus Ace Racing has a single-punch whole camera of 16MP which have the largest pixels. This single-punch whole camera contains some awesome details when it comes to daytime shots. At night time the camera sensor kicks in that wider aperture and with bigger pixels. The lack of optical image stabilization is what makes the camera experience average than other smartphones which have optical image stabilization. The camera video capabilities are also kept at 1080P at 30FPS only.
Connectivity:
Wi-Fi standard | Wi-Fi 6 |
Bluetooth version | 5.3 |
USB type | USB Type-C |
NFC* | Yes |
This OnePlus Ace Racing is launching with the Wi-Fi 6 which is faster, more efficient, and gives you less latency when compared to the Wi-Fi 5. Which will make the user experience smoother and faster. There is also the support of Bluetooth 5.3. Which is also faster and more efficient than version 5.2. OnePlus Ace Racing has the USB type C gen 2.0 support which makes sense because of the 67 watts of fast wire charging so it must need more bandwidth for charging speeds. It also helps with the data transfer because it helps with the faster read and write speeds. OnePlus Ace Racing also has NFC support which is also useful. You can pay, and transfer files at high speeds thanks to the NFC support.
SOUND:
Speakers | Yes, with stereo speakers |
Headphone audio jack | Yes |
The OnePlus Ace Racing comes with stereo speakers. This OnePlus Ace Racing has nice sound quality with a nice amount of bass in it. This will help in gaming because there are two speakers one at the bottom and one at the top which will help gamers. Video watching and hearing to music also going to be good. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack which is good because as I said earlier, this smartphone is more focusing on gaming.
Colors:
Colors | Black, Blue |
The OnePlus Ace Racing is going to lunch in three different colors. Black and Blue. OnePlus is known for its premium colors with good contexts. I like the black color because it looks better than these two colors.
Price:
This smartphone is costing around $300 which is way cheaper than the Realme 9 5G and the iPhone 13 pro max.
Final Thoughts:
If you have already watched my other article on the OnePlus Ace, OnePlus 10R. You will notice little differences in performance and in the prices too. So let’s say you have a budget of $400 then I would say OnePlus Ace is a better choice. It is because of that 50MP main camera sensor because of super AMOLED display and many more. And if you have a budget of $300 then this smartphone also has good features. This smartphone is almost the same as the OnePlus Ace but has a difference in specs and in use too. So, if you are looking for a good Flagship phone, good gaming phone, good design, good display, and amazing performance then this OnePlus Ace Racing is worth buying. Because it has all the needs that a good consumer needs.
