This display is accurate and fast with 120Hz support. With the support of 1 Billion colors, the display is punchier and vibrant. The gaming experience is also going to be very good because of its 120Hz refresh rate and also the content watching will be good with deep blacks and high contrast ratio. Thanks to DCIP3 technology. Vivo X80 Pro is using the LTPO AMOLED panel. Which is good and can deliver faster performance with no touch lag issuers. The display is also protected by the Gorilla Glass 5. Screen to body ratio is 89%, which will give you thinner bezels. The display ratio is 20:9 which means content watching will be amazing.

DESIGN & BUILD:

Dimensions
164.6 x 75.3 x 9.1 mm (6.48 x 2.96 x 0.36 in)

Vivo is known for its amazing new designs. Vivo X80 Pro has a new design with new textures on the back, which makes it more futuristic and strong. The rear is made of ceramic back or eco leather back. The frame is also made of aluminum, which makes it a little heavier than other flagship smartphones. There’s IP68 water and dust resistance (up to 1.5m for 30 mins). In this Vivo X80 Pro. The phone is protected by a metal frame that’s why it makes it heavier by 210+ grams. Talking about the design, the Camera bump takes up so much space for the camera itself. I mean we are talking about so many fingerprints on the camera bump of this phone. The camera bump looks familiar with the OnePlus 10 Pro. The fingerprint scanner it’s located in the in-display and has some amazing speeds because of the new ultrasonic sensor in the display.

Performance:

Chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

Vivo X80 Pro is launching with the most-fastest chipset which is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Which scores in the top 3 in AnTuTu 9 benchmarks. These higher performance cores make the phone experience much smoother with the 120Hz display. The gaming experience is also on another level with the new cooling system in this smartphone. The Adreno 730 is one of the most powerful GPUs on this planet right now, which makes the Vivo X80 Pro faster than other Flagship smartphones. I already published a complete article on this chipset you can check that out here Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. We will talk about the AnTuTu 9 scores in a minute but first, let’s take a look at the memory and storage.

And with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the performance will be much smoother. The ram is LPDDR5 with a memory frequency of 2750MHz. Vivo X80 Pro has the fastest UFS 3.1 storage. Which will load the apps much faster. There is no SD card support which is no issue because you can get a 512GB model.

Benchmarks:

Antutu 9 Benchmarks

Total score 1072221

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 shows one of the best AnTuTu 9 scores. Total scores are 1072221. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is gaining a performance boost and beating the last-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor. In the Flagship segment, this processor is best for gaming, camera, battery, display, and everything. You will experience a much smoother touch, opening, and closing of apps.

Software:

Operating system Android 12
ROM Origin OS Ocean

The Vivo X80 Pro is going to be launching with Android 12 straight out of the box. Which is more customizable than the Android 11 and has tons of new features. This new custom ROM is optimized well with new cool animations and wallpapers. This new Origin OS Ocean fix old bugs like touch lags, camera app improvements, new layouts, improved dark mode, and a new gaming turbo engine. Vivo is known for its good software optimization with their new custom ROM.

Battery:

Capacity 4700 mAh
Charge power 80 W
Battery type Li-Po
Wireless charging 50 W
Reverse charging 10 W
Full charging time 0.38 hr

Vivo X80 Pro comes with 80watts of charger. Which can fully charge the Vivo X80 Pro in just 38 minutes which is amazingly fast. There is also wireless charging support of 50 watts. The charging speeds are so good that on 10 minutes of charge this Vivo X80 Pro can last up to 8 hours thanks to that massive 4700MAh battery. Vivo X80 Pro is a full-day phone I mean this phone can last all day long. I can eat my breakfast and watch YouTube, I can eat my lunch and watch YouTube, I can eat my dinner and watch YouTube well what I am trying to say is this is an all-day phone. And after all-day use, this phone will still have a 30-40% battery.

MAIN CAMERA:

Matrix 50 megapixels
Image resolution 8700 x 5800
Zoom Optical
Flash Dual LED
Stabilization Optical
8K video recording 30 FPS
4K video recording 60 FPS
1080p video recording Up to 60FPS
Lenses (50 MP + 8 MP + 12 MP +48 MP)

Vivo X80 Pro has 4 cameras at the back and man the camera is so amazing that it can easily defeat some of the camera kings of 2022 like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Vivo X80 Pro main Camera is 50 megapixel F/1.6. What makes this camera setup even more awesome is that this camera lens is combined with the wide aperture of F/1.6, the wider the aperture the more light will it collect and the more sharp the image and video quality will be. This Vivo X80 Pro can record video at 8K at 30 FPS. This is amazing the video will contain more details thanks to its good optimization software and the high-end processor. You can also record 4K at 60FPS which will contain even more details and will be sharper. There is gimbal Optical image stabilization on the main lens only. This is quite impressive, this will make the camera experience more stable and more accurate. You will say goodbye to that blurry shots and unstable videos. The Vivo X80 Pro has 3 more camera lenses. Let’s talk about that in detail.

Lenses:

Quad
50 MP, f/1.6, (wide), 1/1.3″, PDAF, Laser AF, gimbal OIS
8 MP, f/3.4, (periscope telephoto), 1/4.4″, 1.0µm, PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom
12 MP, f/1.9, 50mm (telephoto), 1/2.0″, 1.22µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, 2x optical zoom
48 MP, f/2.2, 114˚ (ultrawide), 1/2.0″, AF
Features Zeiss optics, Zeiss T* lens coating, Pixel Shift, dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR, panorama

As I mentioned above that this 50 MP sensor is good. But this Vivo X80 Pro has 3 more camera lenses. There are 2 optical zoom cameras. The first one is an 8MP F/3.4 125mm telephoto camera with the capabilities of 5 times optical zoom. This is quite impressive and is good because it has optical image stabilization too which makes it less shaky and good at focus. This camera lens is F/3.5 which makes it wider enough to take sharp shots of moving subjects. This camera is 8MP which will contain good details in zoom shots. There is another telephoto lens of 12MP which is only 2 times optical zoom camera. This is quite interesting because it has an aperture of F/2.0 which means it will also be sharp and accurate during the day and at dawn time. This lens does not have optical image stabilization which is okay for the steady shots because it’s only 2 times the zoom lens. There is another camera sensor of 48MP which is an ultra-wide camera. And it’s so wide the field of view is 14 degrees which is wider than the one on the iPhone 13 pro max. This camera sensor also has some amazing autofocus. This sensor can take amazing shots with high accuracy. Its aperture is F/2.2, which makes it sharp and contains good tons on subjects. This Vivo X80 Pro has an amazing camera setup, with fast autofocus lenses, high sensors, and good software optimization.

SELFIE CAMERA:

Single 32 MP, f/2.5, 26mm (wide), 1/2.8″, 0.8µm
Features HDR
Video 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps

When it comes to selfie cameras the Vivo X80 Pro has a single-punch whole camera of 32MP which has the largest pixels. This single-punch whole camera contains some awesome details when it comes to daytime shots. At night time this camera sensor struggles a lot.  And what makes me more concerned is about its aperture because its aperture, which is only F/2.5 which means the photos will look not accurate as other smartphones, also this camera will suffer a lot at night because the sensor is not that wide to capture more light thus leaving us in disappointed. The camera video capabilities are also kept at 4K at 30FPS only. Which will also contain tons of details in video thanks to this large 32MP camera sensor.

Connectivity:

Wi-Fi standard Wi-Fi 6
Bluetooth version 5.2
USB type USB Type-C
NFC* Yes

This Vivo X80 Pro is launching with the Wi-Fi 6 which is faster, more efficient, and gives you less latency when compared to the Wi-Fi 5. Which will make the user experience smoother and faster. There is also the support of Bluetooth 5.2. Which is also faster and more efficient than version 5.1. Vivo X80 Pro has the USB type C gen 3.2 support which makes sense because of the 80 watts of fast wire charging so it must need more bandwidth for charging speeds. It also helps with the data transfer because it helps with the faster read and write speeds. Vivo X80 Pro also has NFC support which is also useful. You can pay, and transfer files at high speeds thanks to the NFC support.

SOUND:

Speakers Stereo
Headphone audio jack No

The Vivo X80 Pro comes with stereo speakers. This Vivo X80 Pro has nice sound quality with a nice amount of bass in it. This will help in gaming because there are two speakers one at the bottom and one at the top which will help gamers. Video watching and hearing to music also going to be good. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack which is neither good nor bad.

Colors:

Colors Black, Blue, Orange

The Vivo X80 Pro is going to launch in three different colors. Black, Blue, and Orange. Vivo is known for its premium colors with good contexts. I like the black color because it looks better than these two colors.

Price:

This smartphone is costing around $950 which is way cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the iPhone 13 pro max.

Final Thoughts:

If you are looking for a good camera phone, good gaming phone, good design, good display, and amazing performance then this Vivo X80 Pro is worth buying. Because it has all the needs that a good consumer needs.
