The phone is protected by an plastic frame that’s why it makes it a little lighter by 200 grams. Talking about the design, the Camera bump takes up so less space for the camera itself. I mean we are talking about a nice looking camera bump of this phone. The fingerprint scanner it’s located in the in-home button and has some amazing speeds because of new big optical sensor in home button.

Software:

ROM MIUI 13

The Xiaomi Poco F4 is going to be launching with Android 12 straight out of the box. Which is more customizable than the Android 11 and has tons of new features. This new custom ROM is optimized well with new cool animations and wallpapers. This new MIUI 13 fix old bugs like touch lags, camera app improvements, new layouts, improved dark mode, and a new gaming turbo engine. XIAOMI is known for its good software optimization with their new custom ROM.

Battery:

Capacity 4500 mAh
Charge power 67 W
Battery type Li-Po

Fast charging Yes (50% in 15 min)
Full charging time 0:39 hr

Xiaomi Poco F4 comes with faster 67 watts of the charger. Which can fully charge the Xiaomi Poco F4 in 30 minutes which is fast. There is no wireless charging support. The charging speeds are so good that on 10 minutes of charge this Xiaomi Poco F4 can last up to 6 hours thanks to that massive 4500MAh battery. Xiaomi Poco F4 is a full-day phone I mean this phone can last all day long.

MAIN CAMERA:

Matrix 64 megapixels
Zoom Digital
Flash LED
Stabilization Optical
8K video recording No
4K video recording Up to 60FPS
1080p video recording Up to 60FPS
Angle of widest lens 119°

Now let’s talk about the Camera. The Xiaomi Poco F4. comes with a triple Camera setup. The main Camera is 64 megapixel F/1.8. There is no telephoto lens. There is an ultra-wide lens of 8 megapixels as well. This is a pretty amazing Camera setup that means the photos will contain more details. There is only 4K at 30 FPS. The videos will contain more details and will be sharper thanks to its chipset. There is no optical image stabilization. The Xiaomi Poco F4 also supported the slow-motion 720p at 960 FPS. This is the same sensor that was used in the last gen Xiaomi Poco F3. Which was the best mid-range camera smartphone. This sensor is sharp and big. That collect more light at night thus making it the best camera sensor. This sensor was also used in the Samsung Galaxy A53. The angel view of the ultra-wide of this smartphone is 120 degree. Which is not wide enough but can take good shots.

Lenses:

Wide (main) lens – 64 MP
– Aperture: f/1.8
– Pixel size: 0.8 micron
– Sensor: 1/1.7″, Sony IMX686 (Exmor-RS CMOS)
– Phase autofocus
– Optical stabilization
Ultra-wide lens – 8 MP
– Aperture: f/2.2
– Pixel size: 1.12 micron
– Sensor: 1/4.0″, Omnivision OV8856
Macro lens – 2 MP
– Aperture: f/2.4
– Phase autofocus
Camera features – Bokeh mode
– Pro mode

The main sensor is 64MP. Which is IMX 686. IMX 686 sensor can be seen in a lot of smartphones in midrange category also, and also in Flagships like the Xaomi 11T, Xaomi 12 pro, Xaiomi 10T. The main camera saves 12 megapixel images by default. These are all right with enough detail for this class and true to life colors the dynamic range is good. However these photos are not ideal with visible noise and over sharpening and some corner softness. The Xiaomi Poco F4 doesn’t have a depth sensor like the 4g model does, but that’s no problem portraits are excellent with detailed and sharp subjects and good separation. This sensor is brighter and big. Thanks to the aperture F/1.8. This sensor can take stronger portrait shots and can take great shots in night time because, it’s combine with the wider aperture. This sensor is very good at maintaining the good dynamic range at harsh conditions. This sensor is also good at taking very amazing portraits with strong bokeh and good dept of field. At night the main cam takes good low-light photos. There is enough detail realistic-looking exposure and well-preserved colors. The noise is handled well too night mode photos are sharper with more resolved detail and, you get a wider dynamic range with restored highlights, and develop shadows while the exposure is slightly brighter. The Xiaomi Poco F4 doesn’t turn night and day but can take best night shots. It is 64MP sensor so, combining that with the great software can result the best in the smartphone photography. The auto focus in this camera sensor is incredibly fast. The sensor is dual pixel. Overall the sensor is big, bright and powerful.

There is also an ultra-wide lens of 8 Mp. Which is Sony IMX 355. This sensor can be also seen in many devices like Redmi note 10 pro, redmi note 11 pro, poco x3 , Poco F3 etc. This is also great sensor considering its capabilities. The 8 megapixel ultra-wide photos are ok for this price range. But nothing great you get enough contrast and wide dynamic range but they come out soft with a low level of detail and the colors are a bit off. In harsh lighting conditions this camera sensor suffers a lot because of its aperture which is only f/2.2. This sensor cannot take enough light to take good shots at night. The 8 megapixel ultra-wide photos taken at night time are not really usable.  They’re incredibly dark and noisy. Unlike the regular Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro on the Xiaomi Poco F4 model there’s no night mode for the ultra-wide cam you can force HDR on get a better result, and you will end up with less noise. In video this camera sensor have a lot of noise. Which is very annoying. You can’t use this ultra-wide camera at night time because it will contain so much grain and noise in the videos and pictures. The sensor aperture is F/2.2 which cannot collect more light in night time thus can take average shots at night time with more noise.

There is also 2mp macro lens. Which is not used regularly. This camera sensors can take good shots with amazing details, amazing sharpness. The main lens also have optical image stabilization. Which is not as good as the flagship phones but still can do a good job while taking photos or making videos.

SELFIE CAMERA:

Megapixels 20 megapixels
Image resolution 4608 x 3456
Aperture f/2.45
Pixel size 0.8 microns
Sensor type Exmor-RS CMOS
Sensor size 1/2″
Video resolution 1080p (Full HD) at 60 FPS

When it comes to selfie cameras the Xiaomi Poco F4 has the single punch whole camera of 20MP which have the largest pixels. This single punch whole camera contain some awesome details when it comes to day time shots. In night time this camera sensor struggles a lot.  And what makes me more concerned is about its aperture because its aperture, which is only F/2.45 which means the photos will look not accurate as other smartphones, also this camera will suffer a lot at night because the sensor is not that wide to capture more light thus leaving us in disappointed. The camera video capabilities are also kept at 1080P at 30FPS only.

Connectivity:

Wi-Fi standard Wi-Fi 6
Bluetooth version 5.2
USB type USB Type-C
NFC* Yes

This Xiaomi Poco F4 is launching with the Wi-Fi 6 which is faster, more efficient and gives you less latency when compared to the Wi-Fi 5. Which will make the user experience smoother and faster. There is also the support of Bluetooth 5.2. Which is also faster and more efficient than version 5.1. Xiaomi Poco F4 has the USB type C gen 2.0 support which makes sense because of the 67 watts of fast wire charging so it must need more bandwidth for charging speeds. It also helps with the data transfer because it helps with the faster read and write speeds. Xiaomi Poco F4 also has NFC support which is also useful. You can pay, and transfer files at high speeds thanks to the NFC support.

SOUND:

Speakers Stereo
Headphone audio jack No
FM radio No
Dolby Atmos Yes

The Xiaomi Poco F4 comes with stereo speakers. This Xiaomi Poco F4 has nice sound quality with a nice amount of bass in it. This will help in gaming because there are two speakers one at the bottom and one at the top which will help gamers. Video watching and hearing to music also going to be good. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack which is neither good nor bad.

Colors:

Colors Black, Silver, Green

The Xiaomi Poco F4 is going to lunch in three different colors. Black, Silver, and Green. XIAOMI is known for its premium colors with good contexts. I like the Black color because it looks better than these two colors.

Price:

This smartphone is costing around $400 which is way more cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the iPhone 13 pro max.

Final Thoughts:

If you are looking for a good Flagship phone, good gaming phone, good design, good display, and amazing performance then this Xiaomi Poco F4 is worth buying. Because it has all the needs that a good consumer needs.
